Day One: Wellington – Rotorua
Travelling by road from Wellington to Rotorua via the Kapiti Coast, Palmerston North, the central plateau (home to several active volcanoes), Lake Taupo arriving in Rotorua late afternoon.
Evening Accommodation: Millenium Hotel Rotorua
Day Two: Rotorua
Visit Te Puia and experience Rotorua’s famous Maori culture and geothermal activity with a tour of the neighbouring Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley – a place where mud pools bubble and boil and geysers shoot steam high into the air. Tour concludes early afternoon with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day Three: Rotorua – Waitomo Caves – Auckland
Travel from Rotorua to Auckland by road, via the Waitomo Glowworm caves, a guided tour of the caves including a by boat through the glowworm grotto is included. Arriving in Auckland early evening where you will be transferred to your central city accommodation, at which time your tour will conclude.
Please Note:
- Should you require one or more nights accommodation in Wellington prior to the commencement of this tour this is available on request.
- Should you require an airport transfer from Wellington International Airport to your Wellington accommodation this is also available on request.
- The coaching on Day One from Rotorua to Wellington is by Intercity Coach which will not include commentary. This is the only option available for this leg of the tour by which we can guarantee daily departure throughout the year.
- At the time of booking your credit card information will be securely sent via the payment process. Your credit card will not be charged until the date of travel.
- As from the 1st October 2019 all visitors regardless of passports, except Australian, will require a tourism visa (NZeTA) which can be obtained online https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/about-visa/nzeta very straight forward process, the online fee is NZ$12.00 per person.
Once you obtain the visa’s they are valid for 2 years and can be used more than once. They work exactly the same way as a US ESTA. The NZeTA is not avaioable to all nationalities, the site provides a list of elligible countries.
