LTHK05 – Hong Kong, Macau and Lantau with Private Transfers (5 Days / 4 Nights)

A five day / four night stay in Hong Kong with 4 Star Accommodation, daily breakfast, private transfers and day tours of Hong Kong, Macau and Lantau Island.

Day One     Hong Kong – Monday 1st April 
Arrive Hong Kong International Airport at 06.45 on Cathay Pacific Flight CX881  from Los Angeles, following meet and greet transferred to your Hong Kong Hotel by private vehicle.  Remainder of the day at leisure, a list of recommendations of things to do and see will be supplied

Day Two     Hong Kong  –  Tuesday 2nd April 

Following breakfast make your way to the starting point ( full details in passengers directions to be supplied) for  today’s tour  of Hong Kong .

➢ Embark on a journey through the history and development of Hong Kong on a guided tour. Ride
the Peak Tram to the iconic Peak, explore the Old Town Central, and enjoy a dim sum tasting at
Michelin-awarded Tim Ho Wan.
➢ Begin your adventure with a ride on the Peak Tram to the iconic Peak. Take a guided walking
tour to learn about the history of the Peak and visit the Lion’s Point View Pavilion.
➢ Continue to the Old Town Central and enjoy the guided walking tour to explore Pottinger Street,
the Central Escalator, Tai Kwun, Hollywood Road, Lascar Row, and Man Mo Temple.
➢ Finally, end your tour on a high note by enjoying a dim sum tasting at the Michelin-awarded Tim
Ho Wan

Day Three     Hong Kong / Lantau Island  / Hong Kong –  Wednesday 3rd April 

Following breakfast you will be collected from your hotel for your transfer to the Ngong Ping Cable Car  where you will meet your private guide for the day tour of Lantau Island with an English speaking guide.

Please note that as today will involve some walking at the Po Lin Monastery and in Tai O please wear the appropriate comfortable footwear.

Once you arrive on Lantau you will board the 5.7 kilometer long Ngong cable car for the 25 minute ride to the Po Lin Monastery. The ride offers 360 degree views of Lantau and the surrounding area. Po Lin Monastery, known as the “Buddhist Kingdom of the South” has one of the tallest seated Buddha statues in the  world and has become the site of pilgrimage and visits by Buddhists’  from all over the world. Museum Beneath the Buddha, which consists of three floors below the Buddha Statue.

Your guide will then escort you to Tai O Fishing Village, known as the “Venice of the East” and was once the largest village on Lantau Island. The village’s stilt houses on the waterfront, offer a glimpse into Hong Kong’s past and provide a striking contrast with the modern city. The tour includes a boat trip around the old fishing village to parts of the village which can not be seen from land.

Lunch has been arranged for you at the Tai O Heritage Hotel, lunch is included as part of the tour.

Late afternoon return to the Ngong Ping Cable Car base Station to meet your driver for the return transfer to the Eaton Hotel.

Day Four      Hong Kong  / Macau / Hong Kong –  Thursday 4th April 

Following breakfast collected from you hotel lobby for today’s tour departing Hong Kong for Macau.

Mid-morning arrive Macau and on clearing immigration and customs commence your full day sightseeing of Macau.

Macau is a place where the East meets the West, on this tour you will be shown the charm of the Chinese and Portuguese heritage embraced in arrays of modernized architecture. Highlights include several world heritage sites including a section of the old city walls, A Chinese traditional style temple called Na Tcha Temple, the ruins of St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, the Mount Fortress, the 400 year old temple of A-Ma. Also included in the tour is lunch at one of the cities many hotels and  the Macau Tower providing breathtaking views of the entire city of Macau. You will be returned to the Macau Ferry terminal by approximately 4.30 pm.

Late afternoon depart for Hong Kong, the journey is approximately 1 hour. Once cleared immigration and customs in Hong Kong you will have a return  transfer to The Eaton Hotel., arriving early evening.

Day Five       Hong Kong – Friday 5th April 
Following breakfast at your hotel you will be collected from the Eaton Hotel  for your transfer to the  Hong Kong International Airport for your departing flight on Cathay Pacific Airlines flight CX767, departing at 08.35 and travelling to Ho Chi Min City.
