Day 2: Kaikoura – Christchurch
In the morning, join Dolphin Encounter for your day out with the dolphins. You will be fully equipped with a wet suit, mask, snorkel and flippers so you can swim with the acrobatic Dusky Dolphins. Later in the day, there will be an opportunity to visit a seal colony where New Zealand Fur Seals may be viewed at close quarters. On your return to Christchurch, a stop will be made at a North Canterbury vineyard where a wine tasting has been arranged for your pleasure (time permitting).
Please note: A Single Supplement will apply for solo travellers and you must select the single supplement option to complete the booking.
The minimum age for the dolphin swim tour is 8 years old – so this tour is not suited for those with small children. You must also be a confident swimmer for the Dolphin Swim excursion as swimmers will be in the open ocean where you will not be able to touch the bottom. Both the Whale Watch & Dolphin Swim tours are subject to good weather and sea conditions.
The activities can operate in reverse with Dolphin Swim on the first day and Whale Watch on the second, however this is dependent on availability. Please advise if you would like to change the order of your activities.
