Day One: Christchurch – Kaikoura

Depart Christchurch this morning by road and travel to Kaikoura via some spectacular rural scenery and scenic coast line.  On arrival in Kaikoura you will join Kaikoura Whale Watch for a whale watching encounter with the giant sperm whale. The remainder of your afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day Two: Kaikoura – Picton – Wellington

This morning you will depart Kaikoura  by the Coastal Pacific Train travelling by train from Kaikoura to Picton. On arrival in Picton you will board the Inter Islander Ferry for the 3 hour crossing of Cook Strait to Wellington. On arrival in Wellington you will be transferred to your central city Wellington Hotel.

Day Three: Wellington

A morning sightseeing tour of this beautiful and interesting city, New Zealand’s capital with the houses of parliament. The tour will highlight  some of the beautiful features of this charming city located in scenic natural harbor and surrounded by hills.

Following the sightseeing tour your tour concludes.

1. The Coastal Pacific Train operates only 1^st October through 30^th April, during the winter months the travel from Picton to Kaikoura will be by road.
