This half day wine tour, with two daily departures from Napier visits four wineries in the famous Hawkes Bay wine region of New Zealand with tastings of very different wines at each winery visited. The tour includes a visit to Mission Estates Winery, the oldest winery in New Zealand established in 1851.

Hawkes Bay being one of the oldest and most prestigious wine growing areas of New Zealand with some of the most recognizable names in the NZ wine industry. This tour allows you the opportunity to learn the history of wine making in this area and taste wines at four quality boutique wineries. Mission Estate, est. 1851 by pioneering French Missionaries, New Zealand’s oldest winery, Although the wines are crafted using the latest in technology, many traditional French winemaking techniques are also used. Church Road with New Zealand’s only wine museum, explore the old wine vats, and learn the exciting history surrounding the winery; at the wineries cellar door to enjoy a wine tasting. Travelling through premium wine growing country including the famous Gimblett Gravels, you will learn about the unique soils, sample award winning wines and learn some of the wine making secrets.
